Question on installing EBS to work with an already existing DB Instance

My Customer is going to have a new (first use of EBS) installation of EBS.

They have a well defined standard policies in place regarding creating Oracle databases, with a step by step process followed by all operation management people and that is linked to other policies such as (using DataGuard for DR, RMAN for backup etc).

And they want us to follow their policies when their SI will install EBS.


Would that be :

1) working ?

2) supported ?

which are the constraints/reasons if the DB instance must be created during the EBS installation phase?

Is there any specific document where I can find the details of the above reasons if any?
