xml publisher number formatting localization setting for brazil in rtf excel templates

dear all,

i am to create an excel report in EBS 11.5.10.2 which is to be created using xml publisher add in for microsoft word. now there are number fields in this report and the report is to be used by brazil as well US users.

for US users , thousand separator is , and decimal separator is . and it is opposite for brazil users. how can i achieve this in a rtf template and generate excel output with correct number formatting for different region users ?

should i use any format mask in the rtf template or use some to_char function in xml generating sql code. could someone please tell me how to go about this ? if we see in xml publisher add in , the number format is for US only.
