Do you need AIS if you are deliverying via JDE Enterprise One for iPad App?

Hi,

A question regarding to accessing your E1 solution from outwith your network (firewall).

We are  NOT delivering pure mobile apps which do require AIS set-up.  We are using JDE Enterprise One for iPad App.

The JDE Enterprise One for iPad App just requires a web server URL.

Therefore if you set up  appropriate security (Reverse Proxy in DMZ, DNS, Firewall rules)  to allow JDE Enterprise One for iPad App to reach JDE Enterprise Server etc.,  do you actually need AIS set-up?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated
