Drop Shipments and Intercompany Transactions

Hi Gurus,

I am a newbiee to intercompany flows.

I need clarification between Inter company transactions and Drop shipments.

Let's say, Company A has 10 LE and associated  OU's across eurpoe :A1 to A10. Out of which only A1 maintains the Inventory and warehousing and will supply the items across Europe.

If a customer X Orders an Item in A2 (or from anyone out of A2 to A10), A2 will in turn orders the item to A1, A1 ships the item to X and sends Invoice to X.

Will the above scenario comes under Drop shipment or Intercompany transactions.
