Self Signed Certificates on a 4500

Does anyone have experience using self signed certificates on an Oracle 4500?  The documentation mentions it but doesn't provided details.  The intended call flow is below.

Carrier -> SBC (TLS\SRTP) -> SIP Proxy -> CUCM -> IP Phone.
