Recover from RateWareXL Error R49RWXL07: RWXL - Invalid Weight

Client is running EnterpriseOne 9.1, Sales Order Management, and Transportation Management, with RateWare XL.  Most items they ship generally weigh over 1 LB, but they also ship hardware that is in a different Freight Class.  The hardware may be less than 1 LB.  In this case, we get the R49RWXL07 error.  We have asked to have the Item UoM Conversions for the item weight to be changed to a minimum of 1 LB for all items.  However, the company does not want to make these updates.

When a shipment is broken down by Freight Class, and the total for the class is less than 1 LB, we get this error, which prevents us from being to route and rate the shipment.
