Expected behavior when all voting disks are suddenly lost in a running 12.1.0.2 RAC on Linux 7.1

Hi experts,

I have a doubt about the expected behavior when all voting disks are suddenly lost in a 12.1.0.2 RAC.

My installation is:

- 3 VVDD normal redundancy on ASM

- 2 nodes RAC 12.1.0.2.160119. No Flex Cluster nor Flex ASM

- RHEL 7.1 x86-64

We have conducted some HA tests on that cluster. One of the test was removing all the voting disks from the disc layer in a running RAC. So all the nodes lost VD access at the same time. What is it supposed to happen?

We thought both nodes would reboot and CRS would not start because no VD is present. But it did not behave that way!

Howdy, Stranger!
