Intercompany :AGIS,Inventory,Balacing Journal

HI Guru's,

Since I am newbiee to Intercompany flows, I am exploring the flows of intercompany transactions (Order in OU1LE1 ledger1 and Shipping  via OU2LE2 Ledger2).Can you guys clear my below queries ..?

1.What is the relationship between Inventory Intercompany flow with AGIS or Intercompany balancing journals.

2.When should we use AGIS,Inventory intercompany flows and Intercompany balancing journals.

3.For implementing the above intercompany transaction flow scenario , I am currently doing setups only in inventory, do I need to do additional setups ? (In AGIS or Balancing journals)
