Depreciation Life in Decimals

Hi All

Our client has a requirement to enter the life of the asset as 14.342yrs, is this possible?

Can Oracle calculate depreciation for life that is 14 yrs, 3 and 1/2 months apprx?

If I round the number to come up with a life of 14 yrs and 3 months but still want to record the actual life of 14.342 yrs what would be the best way to enter this information in a Tax Book?

Since this requirement is only for tax books and assets are copied over from Corp books, where could I store this information ?
