Can ST2540 be used as shared storage?

Due to a recent reduction in physical servers at our co-location facility, we now find ourselves with a number of surplus X4150's, X4450's and ST2540's. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the ST2540's as shared storage in a Virtualized environment (MS Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V) setup?

My plan would be to use 2 of the X4150's and/or X4450's in a failover cluster setup with an ST2540 acting as shared storage for the VM's. If possible I would then setup a standalone X4150/X4450 with another ST2540 attached as have it receive Hyper-V replication data, thus ensuring we have failover between primary servers and replication of the ST2540 data across to the secondary server for redundancy/resilience.
