Data Guard Standby-First Patch Apply - The maximum supported duration to have different database hom

I am reading "Oracle Patch Assurance - Data Guard Standby-First Patch Apply (Doc ID 1265700.1)" and its mentioned that

Phase 3: Complete Patch Installation or Rollback

At this point the patch has been applied only to the standby system binaries; therefore, it is only partially installed. The environment may remain in mixed version state for a maximum of 31 days.

I would like to understand more on this 31 days limit - is it a hard limit, how this 31 days limit is relevant to the time when the patch is applied to primary binaries. For example, if we applied a db patch on standby oracle home binary, and after 2 months, if we apply the patch on primary oracle home, is there any problem.

Howdy, Stranger!
