Export from 11204 into 12102 consuming 3.5 times more space and still not complete

We have a 204 GB data pump export file done in 11024 from user system. I'm trying to import that into pluggable database on 12.1.0.2 using SYS. The database is on ACFS one node. The ACFS size is 750 GB for data + index tablespace and the space is exhausted and still the data pump import is in progress. How come it is taking 3.5 times more space in 12.1.0.2 ?
