FINRPTJE will not create Journal Entries

This is my first time trying to create Journal Entries, so it might be something simple.  I have a financial report (tabular).  I used the default financial business view (V8300001) and processing option template (T83PO).

I created a smart field of type FINRPTPA (Period Activity) column with data selection on an object account.  When I print the report with data selection/processing options, I get values here.

I created a FINRPTJE (Create Journal Entry) column with no data selection, and I set it up with the Report Variable is my Period Activity column, and the following parameters:

* Result Business Unit =  a real business unit
