Setup One Contract to Multiple Projects

My client has a requirement to allow One contract to be distributed across Multiple Projects via sub-contracts.  Projects can also contain multiple sub-contracts made up from other Contracts.

All Financials will be processed through the project, Payment claims, actuals, etc and the cost sheet will reside at the project level. The Contract, containing multiple sub-contracts cannot be at a company level, but be within a Contracts shell. At the Contracts level, the combined sub-contracts for one Contract will only have BP's for tender, tender response, evaluation, contract information etc.

Original thought was to have the Main Contract under a contract shell, and populate the information from the Projects sub-contracts within the Project shell. Is it possible to populate elements in one shell from elements of another shell?
