How Autoadjustment program works - if the transaction needs to be reversed out

    could you please let me know how the autoadjustment program works? if the transaction's remaining amount has been written off by the adjustment write off program and now for some reason that invoice needs to be unapplied. when we unapply the invoice from the receipt, it doesn't automatically reverses the autoadjusted line. below is the example.

  Invoice is for $100. Receipt was for $95. Invoice has $5 open as needs to be written off. when the autoadustment program ran for the range $0 to $25, this invoice's remaining amt written off for $5.00 . now, for some reasons, this invoice needs to be unapplied. When we unapply the invoice, it only unapplies the $95. now, invoice shows open for $95 in the system. WHY that $5.00 is not automatically reversing out when the invoice is unapplied.
