SL8500 Operator Panel

Hi there

Can the SLC firmware on the SL8500 operator panel be updated directly from your laptop without being connected to the library.e.g: via x-over cable or serial? does it have a default IP address?

I have a faulty one with the following error:  "CMOS checksum error -defaults loaded" - I already replaced the faulty one.
