Reclaim free space to disk after truncate

My  SYSTEM tablespace was 100 percent full .I truncated table sys.aud$. the space occupied reduced to 25 % full.

BUT the space was not reclaimed to disk..

I am also not able to resize SYSTEM tablespace to smaller after truncation of sys.aud$ ,because after truncation of sys.aud$ ,the HWM of the tablespace still remains same ..I am not able to understand why
