In asset mass additions is it ok if I change the cost and post the mass addition

Hi,

In asset mass additions is it ok if I change the cost and post the mass addition ? Or should I only post the cost that is seen in the mass addition. is there any accounting impact for changing the cost in asset mass addition ?
