Confused when to do cycle count and when to do Inventory Adjustment

Hello Everyone,

I am facing one scenario where the Availability for particular Item is showing 3 but physically its 5 so user is requesting me correct this.

So can anyone suggest what I should do either I should do Inventory adjustment or I should do cycle count.
