How to Create pluggable database from remote pdb?

edited May 26, 2016 5:04AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hello,

I am trying to clone containerdb from remote server. After many attemptions and reading many forums I found out, that it does not work properly. So I decided to follow this article:

http://dbaworkshop.blogspot.sk/2013/08/How-to-create-a-PDB-from-a-Non-CDB-using-DBMS-PDB-package.html

to clone it manually. So I copied database files from remote CDB server to my CDB. I have copied it directly to the location I wanted them to reside.

I have created pdb description xml file on remote server, copied to local and then changed the paths to database files inside the description xml file to point to location at my local server.
