How to Disable Email for FYI POs to iSupplier Contacts

This is a known issue on metalink that iSupplier users are getting PO in emails despite we are sending it through Communication Method setup on Supplier Site. This obviously causes lot of confusion due to duplicate POs being sent out. There is no configuration to stop isupplier from sending out POs. It seems the only way is to disable email by Workflow customization. Before starting on that just want to check with other users, if anyone has a simpler solution to the problem. We send out POs to Suppliers either through XML Gateway or Communication Method Email. When iSupplier sends
