Oracle backup type required to restore database from Windows 32 bit to 64 bit

hi Team,

We have situation, where we have a Oracle 10g production database on windows 2003 32-bit Os and the RMAN online backup of same Oracle 10g database in the Windows 2003 server 32 bit and we need to restore the same backup and rebuild the database on windows 2008 64 -bit architecture. I have gone through the document "RMAN Restore a 32 bit Database to 64 bit - Description and Example (Doc ID 467676.1)" , however, i am still confuse and want to confirm what type of backup is required to restore a 32 bit database to 64 bit.

   Please guide me, do i need a COLD BACKUP  of the database or can i use the
