Interface Old Asset into FA- With accumulicated dep and life-800 Lines

Hi

I have a few assets they have  different from the life on the category default. Example an asset has has a 15yrs life. It was in a different system for 5 yrs now I need to upload it into Oracle with only 10yrs and associated with a category that has a default of 15yrs.

This is what I have done so far, uploaded the lines on ADI with the correct category but I have also populated the life in months column. Now what happened is instead of the system taking what is defaulting the life of the asset based on the category.
