auxiliary channel in duplicate command

Dear all,

when I'm duplicating a database from active database, does the auxiliary channel do the write function and the normal channel do the read ?

1- could you please explain the functionality of auxiliary channel?

2- how many normal and auxiliary channel would you recommend when I'M duplicating a database from server with 5 Cores to a server has 8 cores!

the size of db is about 7TB.

3- do I need to allocate only auxiliary channel when I'm duplicating the database from a Backup?
