Address change in Self Service - State W4 single and 0?

When a person moves and changes their residential state, should their new state W4 information go to the default single with 0 allowances or should it automatically copy the Federal filing status and allowances? My system is currently defaulting to single and 0 when a person changes states even if their Federal W4 is reflecting different.
