In Oracle EAM, when using collection plans, it needs the Collection Import Manager to be running?

We have some collection plans, asociated with EAM Work Order Completions (Oracle Enterprise Asset Management).

Mi question is if this collections plans, uses the  proccess  of the  Collection Import Manager -and respective Collection Import Workers, to actually collect the Collection Element Values captured in the Oracle EAM pages?
