Removing end date in Resource Management - error APP-JTF-210260

Hi

I'm trying to remove the end date in the screen - Service - Resource Management - Maintain Resources - resources but when I try to remove the end date I get the error message APP-JTF-210260: User Id xxxxx is not valid.  Does anyone have an idea how to get round this problem? The FND_USER id is correct and is linked to a valid employee so don't know what to do to clear this.
