ORA-12457:TNS lost contact error

Correction:

Job was being triggered from application servers and getting data in two databases and  getting ORA-12457:TNS lost contact error. Can someone can tell for possible cause except for network related issue? Or is this exactly related to network?

As per checking, both databases are up and  running. Also the listener is up.
