Do your dba's align wtih infrastructure or applications.

Hello all and happy almost wekend!

I would like your input. The DBA team is currently part of the INFRASTRUCTURE organization and we work closely with the System Administrator.

I know that this varies by organization and would like to know if your company aligns you with applicaitons or infrastructure. And a few works about why you are aligned that would be helpful.

I personallly like being with infrastructure because out installations/ capacity planning/ upgrades/maintenace and trouble shooting require strong allliance with the system administrators. 

Any input is welcome
