Is there a way to add to the types of receiving LOV?

I have been asked to investigate if we can add to the types of receiving found in the Item Master. Currently it shows as choices of "Direct", "Inspection" and "Standard". We want to add 2 more, but use the existing logic. Eg "Inspection" as it is now, and a new "Custom Inspection" with the same logic as the out-of-the-box "Inspection". Same deal for a "Custom Direct"

If doable, would this be considered a customization? I'm concerned about our support agreement.
