Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. I ran ADDM and one action is considering increasing the number of database writers (DBWR). Currently it's set to 2.

I have 2 physical CPU. Each CPU has 8 core, with 16 thread to each core. Per our Sys Admin, that's like having 256 CPU's.

Can I set my DB_writer to 8 or more? What number would you suggest?
