SET UP QUALITY HIERARCHY

Hi,


What are the meaings of Ship To, Sold To and Parent addresses for Hierarchy? I understand that sold to is for both purchase and sales returns, ship to is for purchase orders. However, how is parent address is used? Can any one give me detail explaining.
