How does Elimination in GL works ?

Hi

Please help me with the process of elimination journal creation.

As I can see from Google search and metalink notes that source account's amount is moved to target accounts.

Now when we will execute the program in next period again using period type as YTD, will those source accounts (accounts whose amounts have been moved in the last period) be again considered or ignored ? If ignored then how is that identified. If not ignored then does it not cause redundant balance.

Do we need to do some reversal or something.

Please help.

Instance: Oracle R12.2.5
