How to handle different UOM Standard followed for same item by different countries

Hi,

I have a customer who is having his business in multiple countries where there are different Standards are followed for Unit of Measure for one example for weight unit of measure is IS standard it is Pound and in BS standard it is KG. Now the question is how do we handle this scenario in JDE where same item is transacted by companies which are using same instance of JDE so having common item master.

I would appreciate any quick help.
