R12EBS with SSO using OAM clarifications

We have to go for an SSO using OAM and In an integration with EBS R12. We are looking to use microsoft AD

Need some help here

1)can we have Oracle as the source for synchronization of users and passwords to AD and can it be bi-directional or can it be made uni-directional.

I can see there is a sync usually from AD-OID using DIP ,but incase we want the sync from oracle to AD? is this possible? and can it be made bidirectional from AD to Oracle and oracle to AD?

2)If we have a thick client like discoverer,Do we need to integrate discoverer with SSO also or can we continue to use as a standalone directly connecting to the DB?
