Running pkgrecv from Oracle to populate an IPS Repository - what does the "SEND" figure represent?

Hi

Populating an IPS repository from Oracle's repo at pkg.oracle.com provides the following output as the download/population progresses...

Processing packages for publisher solaris ...

Retrieving and evaluating 19465 package(s)...

Download Manifests (345/19465)

PROCESS                                         ITEMS    GET (MB)   SEND (MB)

install-image/solaris-auto-install          3023/6768 13017/64016  24405/144300

Can anyone explain what the SEND(MB) column actually represents because it doesn't bear any resemblence to the current size of the ZFS filesystem being populated and I can't find a good explanation in any of the documentation. The Send figure is frequently approximately 2 - 3 times the number of the figures in the GET column (The GET column appears to be the items being downloaded from pkg.oracle.com)

Howdy, Stranger!
