Close Oracle Assets before Oracle Projects

We are supposed to close Oracle Projects before we close Oracle Assets. However, if we have interfaced assets from Orace Projects to Oracle Aseets and posted mass additions could we flip the close process  (close Oracle Assets before Oracle Projects)? What possible issues or concerns that may arise if the close process is flipped?
