Can we update Impairment Reserve Account to correct it

Impairment Reserve account is been incorrectly set up in Category so is there any way we can correct this account. Assets have already been created for this category.

Or reclassification is the only way?

One more question would be if we continue to have the incorrect account for this period then how can we correct it in next period, can we do the reclassification in next period.
