use Item Cross Reference P4104 configured item

Hi

Is it possible to use P4104 for a configured item stocking type C, line type W. 

We replace one of our model with another one. 

I dis the setup and it doesn't work.

Set up: add the cross reference item in P4104 - done with type S

P/options P4210 #8- Cross Ref #1 -  done with type S

Customer Master, billing information, Substitutes Allowed - done
