How to apply a hold on a sales order lines based on user item type

Hello

I have got a requirement, where we need to automatically apply hold on a sales order line based on the user item type. I looked into the create hold sources and i did not find any option to create such a hold which will automatically apply on the sales order lines where the entered item is of a specific user item type.

Can you help with any idea about how this can be attained.
