importing Hyperion planning artifacts from command prompt

I have a requirement to import from a zip file having an xml file and directory structure with all planning artifacts.

Can you please let me know how can I import into an existing empty application created in the planning workspace.

Can I have the application created to import or the import will automatically create the application using the name given in the xml file under the "Default Application Group"

Can you please give me the details of the complete command line syntax to import on a Linux server.
