Is there a way to temporarily exclude one of the assets that are being picked up by generate asset l

Our Capital Projects have with multi tasks each with an asset assigned already interfaced to assets. Is there a way to temporarily exclude one of the assets that are being picked up by generate asset lines and interface asset lines processes.
