RDF 14.1.2 - Override from Higher Level

edited Jul 26, 2016 4:46PM in Retail Predictive Application Server (MOSC) 8 commentsAnswered ✓

Hi Guys,

I have a question regarding Override from higher level option in RDF: if the user choose this option, will the causal engine try to calculate the uplift at the final level (item/store/day) and in case it can't compute anything it will use "the geometric mean of causal effects computed from product/location combination in the same group (the intersection level specified in the Causal Higher Intersection during system setup)" ?

I guess the documentation it's not clear:

"..An optional setting for Causal Forecasting, this intersection is the aggregate level to model promotions if the causal intersection cannot produce a meaningful causal effect

Howdy, Stranger!
