Best practice when you have multiple vendors drop shipping to customers

In the past we have had only 1 vendor that was used to drop ship to customers.  There is a separate branch plant setup specifically for this vendor.  We now have another vendor that will be doing the same (different items) and I was wondering what the best way was to setup?  The initial thought was that we would have to setup an additional branch plant to ship from.  Is there any other way that this could be setup?  I am looking for a long term solution.

Any help would be great.
