FC Window Tiling (Horizontal, Vertical) - is there a limit to how many windows can be tiled?

One of the steps in a Merch Financial Planning solution has a fairly large number (8) of configured windows. When tiling the windows on this step, it causes the Fusion Client to show the 'busy' symbol endlessly. It behaves a bit differently based on the browser window size ... on a smaller laptop screen, tiling horizontally will cause it to fail. On a larger external monitor/window, the tiling vertical fails, while tiling horizontally works (even though the result is unusable). Tiling using the 3rd option which arranges the windows in a matrix works fine (so far).

Has anyone encountered this before? Is there an official limit on how many windows can be split?
