Creating a Solaris 11.3 Repository

I have a server with Solaris 11.2 on it, can I create a Solaris 11.3 Repository with the latest SRU's on it, or would I have to upgrade the repository server to 11.3 first.

Current OS of the repo server is :

-bash-3.2$ cat patch+pkg/pkg_list-af_entire.out

NAME (PUBLISHER) VERSION IFO

entire 0.5.11-0.175.2.5.0.5.0 i--

entire 0.5.11-0.175.2.4.0.6.0 ---

entire 0.5.11-0.175.2.0.0.42.0 ---

I found an article :

Prepare the Repository Host System - Copying and Creating Oracle Solaris 11 Package Repositories

Which seems to suggest I can only create a repository at the same version as the server itself.
