Is there any option/workaround to use the CHRM accounting workflow in R12.2.5 or it is mandatory to

Hi

My client is in process to upgrade from 11.5.10 to R12.2.5. In 11i  CHRM is using accounting workflow, which is being customized for business needs.  While upgrading to 12.2.5 is it mandatory to switch to SLA or is there any option to continue using accounting workflow for CHRM.

Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
