Make REST calls to APPL

Hi,

Is there a way to make REST calls to APPL that run only on FAT CLIENTS?Is it possible to navigate inside an application by Silent App Launch ?I learned to make REST calls for the APPL that are running in WEB CLIENTs .Please help me to figure out a way.
