Depreciation Override in Post Status

Hello Everyone,

I have a querry regarding depreciation override,I have performed the following steps for override;

1- Set the profile option FA: Enable Depreciation Override to Yes

2- Go to override page and select the Book and Asset Number, Period, Depreciation amount, Used by as Depreciation and Status as Post

3- Then run the Run Depreciation, without closing the period.

Then search the asset on Asset Workbench, no changes in depreciation amount as entered in Depreciatin Override, and Status is as Post rather than Posted.

Did I skip any thing? Kindly guide me.
