Cross-platform Data Guard configuration

Hi,

We are running Oracle 11g on in a AIX platform and we want to setup a Active Data Guard to a linux platform.


Can we replicate data between different servers on different platforms ( AIX and Oracle Linux?

Can we open database to read only mode  and use snap shot database ?

Does heterogenous Data Guard support switch over and fail over  (DG Broker)?
